Dewpoint needs to know where you are to know which forecast is yours, and there is deliberately no fallback city — a weather app confidently showing the wrong place looks completely normal, which makes it the worst kind of wrong.
If you tapped "Don't Allow", iOS will not ask again. Turn it back on in Settings › Privacy & Security › Location Services › Dewpoint, and choose "While Using the App".
If it is granted and still cannot get a fix, that is usually being indoors. Near a window or outside normally sorts it within a few seconds.
In intervals.icu, open Settings and scroll to the Developer section to find your API key. Paste it into Dewpoint under Settings › Training plan. Dewpoint reads your planned workouts and nothing else, and never writes anything back.
The key lives in the iOS Keychain, and disconnecting removes it.
Calendars are opted into one at a time, and none are selected by default. Reading every calendar on a phone pulls in national holidays, birthdays and subscribed fixtures, none of which are reasons you cannot ride — so open Settings › Calendar and tick the ones that mean you are genuinely busy.
All-day events are ignored on purpose, as is anything marked free or cancelled. Otherwise a birthday would rule out a whole day.
0 to 100 for the whole window, not a single moment. A window that is pleasant for an hour and then unpleasant scores below one that holds up throughout.
Wet bulb globe temperature: humidity, radiant heat from the sun and air temperature combined. It is the measure endurance sport uses, and it is why a cloudy 29°C can be easier than a sunny 26°C.
Dewpoint estimates it from a public forecast. A true reading needs an instrument where you are standing, so treat it as a guide rather than a measurement.
What decides whether sweat can evaporate, and the number most runners judge a summer morning by.
Green, amber and red are go, caution and poor. A hatched stretch is excluded: either you are booked then, or conditions are gated rather than merely bad.
Then no hour is any good. Dewpoint will not dress up the least bad option to have something to show, and on a cold, wet, windy day that is the honest answer.
Dewpoint works from a weather forecast, which can be wrong. It is a planning tool, not a safety device, and the decision to go out is yours. If conditions on the day look worse than the forecast said, believe the day.
